Bionote has enhanced its Vcheck Equine SAA test to improve clinical utility and offer greater flexibility in equine inflammation assessment.
Serum amyloid A (SAA) is a widely used acute-phase protein and one of the most sensitive biomarkers for detecting inflammation in horses. It plays a key role in the early diagnosis and monitoring of various inflammatory conditions, including infections, joint diseases, surgical complications, and foal illnesses.
The upgraded Vcheck Equine SAA assay now offers:
1. Extended Measuring Range:
From 10–1,000 mg/L to 10–3,000 mg/L, enabling the detection of more severe inflammatory responses.
2. Expanded Sample Types:
Now compatible with Serum, Plasma (Heparin), and Plasma (EDTA) for more convenient and flexible sample collection.
These improvements strengthen diagnostic confidence—especially in severe cases—and support faster, field-based decision-making using the Vcheck V200 analyzer.
